About
Lyfa Home is a subscription for the dull, time-consuming half of running a house. The clean, the lawn, the gutters, the windows. You decide once what your home needs, and it happens on a schedule for the rest of the year.
None of it is hard. That's not the problem. The problem is that it's endless, it's boring, and it's eating your Saturday.
You clean the house and a week later it needs cleaning again. You mow the lawn and by the end of the month you can't tell you did. Nothing you do to a house stays done — it just comes back around, indefinitely, for as long as you live there.
Add it up over a year and it's weeks. Weeks of scrubbing a shower, dragging a mower out of the shed, standing on a ladder pulling wet leaves out of a gutter in June. Hours that were meant to be your weekend, spent on jobs nobody has ever enjoyed.
And in most houses it lands on the same person. One person notices it needs doing, decides when, organises it and follows it up — on top of doing it. That's a job in itself, and nobody applied for it.
Booking a cleaner once helps for a fortnight. Then you're back to arranging it again — which is why nothing ever really changes.
We tried the obvious things first. A cleaner found online who came twice and stopped answering. A gardener who was good but only free at times that never worked. Every arrangement had to be set up, chased and re-booked, and the arranging was most of the effort.
So we built it as a subscription instead. You choose what your home needs once. We schedule the entire year, send the same vetted person each time, and bill you monthly. No booking, no chasing, no arranging it again in three weeks.
The boring half of owning a home, permanently handed to someone else.
How we work
A service like this only works if the person who turns up is right. Everything below exists to protect that.
Insurance, police check, two references we actually phone. We turn people down. You're handing over a key — that has to mean something.
Within 48 hours, every job. Underpaid people don't stay, and turnover is the thing that ruins services like this.
If we can't cover your suburb or can't do the job well, we'll tell you rather than take your money and work it out later.
Providers who know your suburb, short travel between jobs, and nobody stretched across a map they don't know. We'd rather say no to an area than serve it badly.
What you can expect
Not a list of services. What members say they actually notice once it's running.
Saturday stops being catch-up day. It's the first thing members mention, and usually the point at which they tell somebody else about us.
The year is scheduled up front and each visit confirmed 14 days ahead. Nothing to book, nobody to chase, no working out when it was last done.
Gutters before the winter rain. Deep clean in spring. They land at the right time of year because we're tracking the calendar, not you.
Nobody in the house has to notice, decide, ask or be reminded. It's arranged, it's paid for, and it happens either way.
Tell us about your home and we'll come back within 24 hours. No pitch, and we'll say so if we're not the right fit.
