Last updated: July 2026 · These terms apply to Lyfa Home memberships in Melbourne, Australia.
Lyfa Home is a home services subscription operating in Melbourne, Australia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Lyfa Home" mean Lyfa Home. "You" means the person who holds the membership.
We arrange and coordinate home services. The work itself is carried out by independent providers we've vetted and contracted. We're responsible for arranging your services, managing your provider relationship and standing behind the quality of what's delivered.
Your membership begins when we confirm it in writing and your first payment is processed. Before that point, registering interest or receiving a quote doesn't create any obligation on either side.
To become a member you need to be at least 18, live within our service area, and either own your home or have permission from whoever does.
We may decline a membership. We'll tell you why. Usually it's because we can't cover your suburb or don't have a suitable provider available.
Exactly what's included depends on which membership you hold. The inclusions listed on our memberships page at the time you join form part of these terms.
Pricing is based on the size and type of property you tell us about. If your property turns out to be materially different — significantly larger, considerably more work than described — we'll contact you to agree an adjusted price before continuing. You can cancel at that point with no cost.
We schedule your visits in advance and confirm each one at least 14 days ahead. You can see your full schedule in your account.
You can move or skip any visit with 48 hours' notice — 24 hours on Premium — at no charge. Skipped visits aren't refunded or carried over, since your membership is priced across the year rather than per visit.
With less notice than that, we may charge up to 50% of the visit value. Your provider has held that time and usually can't refill it. We'll always tell you before charging anything.
Occasionally we'll need to reschedule — illness, weather, a provider leaving. We'll give you as much notice as we can and offer an alternative. If we can't deliver a visit within a reasonable time of when it was scheduled, we'll credit you its value.
You need to give your provider a way in. Most members use a key, lockbox or smart lock. However you arrange it, you're responsible for making sure access works.
If your provider arrives as scheduled and can't get in, or the property isn't safe to work in, that counts as a completed visit and won't be rescheduled free of charge.
Tell us in advance about anything relevant — pets, alarms, areas you'd rather weren't touched, fragile or valuable items. We'll pass it to your provider and keep it on your file.
Some memberships include a monthly credit. Credit:
Credit isn't a deposit or stored value — it's a discount entitlement attached to an active membership.
Your membership is charged monthly in advance, on the same date each month, to the card you nominate. All prices include GST.
Additional bookings made outside your membership are charged at your member rate and added to your next monthly payment.
If a payment fails we'll try again and let you know. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, we may suspend your visits until it's resolved. We'll always contact you first.
Auto-renewal. Your membership continues month to month until you cancel it. There's no fixed term and no renewal notice, because nothing changes at renewal — the same price, the same services. You can cancel at any time from your account.
We may change our prices. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice before it affects you, and you can cancel before the new price applies without any cost.
We won't change your price in your first six months as a member.
You can pause your membership for up to three months — travelling, renovating, whatever the reason. Billing stops, your credit balance is held, and we'll do our best to keep your provider available for when you return.
You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. There's no lock-in period, no notice requirement and no exit fee.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month. You keep any visits already scheduled within that period. We don't refund part-months.
The one exception is the annual service clause below.
Some memberships include an annual service — typically a deep clean or window clean — worth substantially more than a single month's payment.
We schedule annual services at the appropriate time of year: deep cleans in spring, exterior work before winter. You'll get at least 14 days' notice and can move the date. Annual services can't be requested in your first month of membership.
If you cancel within 12 months of receiving an annual service, and the membership payments you've made since joining don't cover what that service cost us, the shortfall becomes payable on cancellation.
We'll tell you the exact amount before charging anything, and you can ask us to explain how it's calculated.
Why this exists. An annual service costs us several hundred dollars to deliver. Without this clause, someone could join, take a deep clean in month one, and cancel — leaving us substantially out of pocket. The clause only ever recovers our actual cost, never more, and never applies if your payments already cover it.
Every provider holds current public liability insurance of at least $5 million, has passed a police check issued within the last twelve months, and has given us two references we've contacted. We re-verify insurance annually.
Providers are independent contractors, not our employees. We select them, agree their rates, schedule their work and manage the relationship — but they run their own businesses.
We'll match you with one provider and keep them on your home wherever possible. If they're unavailable we'll tell you in advance before sending someone else.
You can ask to be rematched at any time, for any reason, without explaining why.
Tell us within seven days and we'll put it right — usually by having it redone at no charge. If we can't, we'll credit or refund that visit.
Tell us as soon as you notice, and within seven days of the visit. Your provider carries public liability insurance for exactly this. We'll manage the claim with them rather than leaving you to chase it, and we'll keep you updated.
Contact us immediately. We take this seriously — we'll investigate, involve the provider, and support you in reporting it to police if that's appropriate. Any provider found to have taken something is removed permanently.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a remedy if a service isn't provided with due care and skill, isn't fit for purpose, or isn't delivered within a reasonable time.
Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies those guarantees. Where any term would do so, it doesn't apply to that extent.
Where we're permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Subject to section 13, we're not responsible for:
That last one matters. If you book a Lyfa Home provider privately, that arrangement is between you and them. Our vetting, insurance oversight and quality process don't cover it.
We may end your membership by giving you 30 days' notice, and we'll refund any unused portion of the month.
We may end it immediately, without notice, if you don't pay after we've followed up, behave abusively toward a provider or our team, ask a provider to do something unsafe or unlawful, or repeatedly deny access without notice.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice and you can cancel before it takes effect at no cost.
Minor changes — clarifying wording, correcting errors — take effect when published.
Email hello@lyfa.com.au first. We'll acknowledge within two business days and try to resolve it within ten.
If that doesn't work, you can contact Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 55 81 81 or at consumer.vic.gov.au. Nothing here prevents you going to a tribunal or court.
These terms, together with the inclusions for your membership and our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us.
If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
You can't transfer your membership to someone else without our agreement. If you move house within our service area, tell us and we'll adjust your pricing to suit the new property.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
